Last updated: [To be filled before launch]

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you visit our website or book a session with us. We are committed to handling your data responsibly and transparently.

We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation 2016/679) and Czech Act No. 110/2019 Coll. on the Processing of Personal Data.

By using this website or booking a session, you acknowledge the practices described below. If you do not agree with them, please refrain from using our services.

Data Controller

The personal data described in this policy is processed by [Marie Surname], an independent visceral massage therapist operating at Blanická 25, Praha 2, Czech Republic.

If you have any question, request, or concern about how your personal data is handled, you can reach us by email at [email] or by phone at [phone].

Personal Data We Collect & Purpose

We collect only the personal data we need to schedule sessions and operate this website. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for any purpose beyond those described below.

Booking information. When you book a session through Cal.com, you provide your name, email address, and (optionally) a phone number and short message. We use this data to schedule, confirm, remind, and follow up on your appointment. Legal basis: performance of a contract under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Retention: kept for as long as needed to deliver the service and to meet any related legal obligations (typically up to one year after the last appointment).

Direct communication. If you contact us by email or phone, we keep the content of that communication only as long as needed to respond and follow up. Legal basis: legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

In-session notes. Any notes taken in person during a session are kept on paper at the studio and are never transmitted through this website or stored online. Legal basis: legitimate interest in providing safe and continuous care.

Website analytics. With your consent, we use Google Analytics to understand aggregated visitor behaviour — pages viewed, approximate region, type of device. The data is pseudonymised and is not used to identify you personally. Legal basis: consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time through the cookie settings.

We do not collect special-category data (such as health information) through this website. Anything sensitive shared during an in-person session stays between you and the therapist.

Sharing & Third Parties

We share personal data only with carefully selected service providers that help us operate the website and deliver our services. We do not sell your data or share it for marketing purposes.

Cal.com (Cal.com, Inc., United States) — booking platform. Processes your name, email, and appointment details. Cal.com applies the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses to any EU-to-US transfer.

Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc.) — website hosting and content delivery network.

Sanity (Sanity.io, Norway) — content management system for the website.

Google Ireland Ltd. — Google Maps (embedded on the Contact section) and, with your consent, Google Analytics.

Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we rely on adequacy decisions or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses to ensure equivalent protection.

Your Rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; ask for inaccurate or incomplete data to be corrected; ask for your data to be deleted, where there is no overriding legal reason to keep it; restrict or object to certain types of processing; receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format; and withdraw any consent you have previously given, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in the Data Controller section. We will respond within 30 days, as required by the GDPR.

If you believe your data has been handled improperly, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Czech Data Protection Authority (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, www.uoou.cz).
